My primary interest lies in learning about food, the ongoing food movement, and generally being informed about what I am putting in my body. I try to eat healthy, and I am always looking for ways to educate myself about food and cooking. I love to cook and bake at home, but my husband, Adam, does a lot of our everyday cooking. I do make an excellent sous chef!

This blog has developed as a way for me to write and talk about my pursuit of all things food and health. I will focus on dishes we make at home, the specific ingredients we use, as well as interesting readings on food and the food movement and industry. When I read cookbooks, I often find myself frustrated with the lack of consideration for the cost and availability of the ingredients. I would like to make this blog a source of information on how to eat frugally (both out and at home).
